How the Any Craps Bet works

The Any Craps bet is a one roll bet that can be found at practically every single craps table on the planet. It is one of the many proposition bets you’ll find on the table.

To place an Any Craps bet, make sure the stickman has the dice and the table is taking bets. Simply call out to the stick, “craps” and toss your money to them. They’ll catch it and place your money on the “C” that corresponds to your position on the table.

On the next roll, if the dice show 2, 3, or 12 you win. Any other number, your bet loses.

You can bet the Any Craps in $1 increments.

Any Craps bets are commonly called “Crap Check” as well.

You can also use an Any Craps wager as a hedge on come bets.

Payouts are determined by local gaming commission regulations, most states follow the same payouts as listed above, but these could vary from one jurisdiction to another. The above are from NV.

Final Thoughts

The Any Craps bet is best utilized as a hedge against losing a pass line bet or a come bet. There are only 4 dice combinations out of 36 that will produce a winning any craps bet. So it is generally not a good bet to make.

If I am at the table and I start losing my pass line or come bets due to a craps roll of the dice, I’ll throw $2 on the Any Craps. But I don’t play it very often, I guess it depends on how the table is going.

Good luck on the tables!
